Plot: The setting is a utopian society where in the year 2048, after a big war, "the community" had decided to get rid of colors, therefore different races, and feelings, such as love and anger, because they felt that they only caused conflict. In their community, everything is about sameness, thus there is no money or social status, everyone owns the same things, and everyone lives in a same sized house. They are ruled by 12 politicians called the Elders. Children are part of a family unit including one male and one female child, and adults may be part of one if they chose to. The children are not actually born to the couple they call parents; there are birthmothers to breed the children. There are ceremonies each year to celebrate the age of a child, culminating at age 16 with the "Ceremony of Growth", where children are assigned jobs en mass. Jonas, the main character, is part of a family unit with "Mom" and "Dad" and his sister, Lily. His mother works with the Justice Center, and his father with the Nurturing Center, whose staff helps take care of babies after they are born. As they are eating dinner, Jonas admits that he is terrified by the approach of his Ceremony of Growth, and his parents reassure him in response. At the ceremony, Jonas’s close friends, Asher and Fiona, are assigned the jobs as Drone Pilot and Nurturer. Jonas is initially confused because the president of this "utopian" nation, the Chief Elder, skipped over him. At the closing of the ceremony, however, he is informed that he was selected for an important job, the Receiver of Memory. Because all the memories from before the citizens, who are known as "The Community," are all erased from their minds, as the Receiver of Memory, Jonas, must receive the only memories of before from the past receiver, The Giver. The Receiver of Memory is the only individual in the community who has the memories and must advise the Chief Elders on the decisions for the community, who are unaware of anything that happened before their community. Jonas progressively receives memories, eventually including knowledge of the Giver’s past and of his child, Rosemary. She preceded Jonas as Receiver of Memory, and was so distraught from the memories that she committed suicide, by what the Community call releasing. They regard its nature as mysterious; the audience learn that it is death via a lethal injection. Jonas begins to teach his findings to his friend, Fiona, who he decides to share the idea of feelings with. Fiona is unsure of how she feels about feelings, but they kiss while together privately.Jonas also shares his memories to the baby his father brought home to their house, Gabe, and develops a close relationship to him. Jonas decides that everyone should have the memories of the past and eventually, the Giver and Jonas decide that the only way they can help the community is to go past the border of what they call Elsewhere, beyond the community, therefore releasing the memories back into the community. Jonas sneaks out at curfew, and decides to get Gabe at the Nurturing Center, who is to be released of weakness. Asher tries to stop him before he leaves the neighborhood, but Jonas quickly punches him. Asher lays on the ground, stunned, and Jonas rides his bike to the Nurturing Center. He tells Fiona his plan and wants to take her with him, but she refuses and instead helps him retrieve Gabe. Before he leaves, he kisses her on the lips and she helps him escape.Jonas’s mother and Asher, meanwhile, go to the Chief Elder to tell them Jonas is missing. Guards are sent to contain Jonas, who they say has become “Dangerous,” but Jonas gets one of their motorcycles and drives off the cliff near the Giver’s dwelling into “The Elsewhere." His friend Asher is assigned, by the Chief Elder, to use a pod to find Jonas and kill him but when Asher finds Jonas stumbling through the woods, he captures him with the pod, throws him to a river, and lets him go. Jonas stumbles through the land of Elsewhere, while Fiona has been condemned to be released for helping him. Just as she is about to be released by Jonas’s father, the Giver steps in and stalls the Chief Elder with memories of his daughter, Rosemary, trying to call out the Chief Elder in which she succeeded. Eventually, Jonas stumbles past the border of Elsewhere, just in time, thus releasing memories back into the community, color, and saving Fiona because Jonas's father realizes what he was really doing. Jonas and Gabe find a house where people are singing Christmas carols, and his voiceover says that back in the community, he swears he hears music too, or maybe just an echo.

Meanwhile, Papa and Madam Mallory make amends and ultimately begin romancing each other. Plot: As seen in the prologue, the ALZ-113 virus causes the collapse of human civilization following martial law, civil unrest and the economic collapse of every country in the world. Ten years later, Caesar leads and governs a new generation of apes in a community located in the Muir Woods. While walking through the forest, Caesar's son Blue Eyes and Rocket's son Ash encounter a human. The human, Carver, panics and shoots Ash, wounding him. Carver calls for the rest of his small party of armed survivors, led by a man named Malcolm, while Blue Eyes calls for the other apes. Caesar orders the humans to leave. The remaining humans in San Francisco, genetically immune to the virus, are living in a guarded tower within the ruined city. Prompted by Koba, a scarred bonobo who holds a grudge against humans for his mistreatment, Caesar brings a large group of the apes to the city where he conveys the message that while the apes do not want war, they will fight to defend their home. He then demands that the humans stay in their territory and states the apes will stay in theirs, too. Malcolm convinces his fellow leader Dreyfus to give him three days to reconcile with the apes to gain access to a hydroelectric dam in their territory, which could provide long-term power to the city. Dreyfus, distrustful of the apes, arms survivors using an abandoned armory. Malcolm then travels into the Ape Village but is captured by gorilla guards, who bring him to Caesar. After a tense discussion, Caesar allows Malcolm to work on the dam's generator, provided they surrender their guns. As Malcolm, his wife Ellie, and son Alexander work, they bond with the apes. Mutual distrust of both sides gradually subsides but trust momentarily ends when Carver threatens Caesar's sons with a concealed shotgun. The sides reconcile as Ellie is allowed to treat Caesar's ill wife Cornelia with antibiotics. Meanwhile, Koba discovers the armory and confronts Caesar, questioning his allegiance and taunting him over his "love" for humans. In response, Caesar heavily beats Koba, but since he does not kill other apes he chooses to forgive him. Koba then returns to the armory, steals an assault rifle and murders two human guards. He then secretly kills Carver, stealing his lighter and cap. The dam is eventually repaired, restoring power to the city. During the celebration, Koba sets fire to the apes' home. Then while unseen by anyone else, Koba and Caesar lock eyes as Koba shoots Caesar in the chest, causing him to fall from the settlement's main tree. In the panic of the loss of the Alpha and the fire, Koba takes charge, and, having planted Carver's cap at the scene of the shooting, orders the apes to war against the humans. Malcolm's group hides as Koba leads the apes into San Francisco. The apes plunder the armory and charge the tower's gates. Despite heavy casualties, the apes breach the gates using a hijacked tank, overrun the tower and imprison all the humans as Dreyfus flees underground. When Ash refuses Koba's orders to kill unarmed humans, citing Caesar's teachings, Koba kills Ash and imprisons all those known to be loyal to Caesar. Malcolm's group finds Caesar barely alive and transport him to his former home in San Francisco. Caesar reveals to Malcolm that Koba shot him, realizing his notion that all apes were better than humans was naive. As he enters the city to find medical supplies so Ellie can operate on Caesar, Malcolm encounters Blue Eyes, who decided to spare Malcolm's life, and takes him back with him to the house. Caesar grows nostalgic watching video clips from his childhood on his former owner Will Rodman's old camcorder as Malcolm learns of Caesar's past. Blue Eyes then returns to the tower, freeing the caged humans and the apes loyal to Caesar. After leading the apes to the tower unseen, Malcolm encounters Dreyfus, who informs him that his men have made radio contact with more survivors, located at a military base up north, on their way to help fight the apes. The freed apes join Caesar and confront Koba at the summit of the tower. While Caesar and Koba battle, Malcolm fails to prevent Dreyfus from detonating C-4 underneath the tower. The resulting explosion simultaneously kills Dreyfus and collapses part of the tower. Caesar overpowers Koba, knocking him to the edge of the tower. Koba reminds Caesar that apes do not kill apes, but Caesar proclaims that Koba is no longer an ape, and lets him fall to his death. Malcolm informs Caesar of the impending arrival of human military reinforcements. Both lament the lost opportunity for peace. Caesar tells Malcolm that the humans will never forgive the apes for the war they started and tells him to leave with his family for safety. As Malcolm slips away into the shadows, Caesar stands before a kneeling mass of apes awaiting the battle to come.

Plot:
Tuck, Munch and Alex are a trio of inseparable friends whose lives are about to change. Their Las Vegas suburb, Mulberry Woods, is being destroyed by a highway construction project that is forcing their families to move away. They mourn what will surely be the end of their happiness and friendship, as their families go separate ends of the country. It shows them uploading videos to YouTube showing their negative feelings about the highway project. During the last week in their neighborhood, Alex's phone, as well as his family's, begin "barfing", displaying weird electronic signals. Munch and Tuck figure out these signals only start at a certain point in the neighborhood. At one point men from the construction crew come to give out new phones, apologizing for the apparent electrical short that caused this, and the boys hide their phones. Munch discovers that the image on his phone is identical to a desert 20 miles from the boys. While at school they plan to tell their parents they are sleeping out and ride their bikes to find what the image leads to. Tuck, in a spurt of bravery, asks hot girl Emma out to prove that video camera glasses get girls but settles for a blank piece of paper to trick his friends into believing that he got her number. That night, Tuck and Alex collect an extremely nervous Munch who has very cold feet. After some convincing they get him to come, telling him its their last night together before Alex, and eventually all three, move. They bike out to the desert and what they discover is something beyond their wildest imaginations: a small friendly alien robot who has become stranded on Earth. In need of their help, the three friends come together to protect the alien, which they name Echo. They travel all over the desert, into a pawn shop, into a house that happens to be Emma's (or, as Munch calls her, "Mannequin Girl") who joins them to get away from her parents, a bar, and into an arcade, trying to find missing parts to help Echo rebuild his spaceship. However, they are being chased down by government officials, who have gone undercover as construction workers to investigate a spaceship that entered Earth's atmosphere near the construction site. They shot him down and plan to kill him. They believe if Echo rebuilds his ship it will kill everyone on Earth. After collecting a few of the pieces, the kids and Echo are caught, and the government almost kills Echo before they escape and steal the government's van to follow the last map on their phones, which leads to the spaceship. The map leads them to Alex's backyard. It turns out that it was under the neighborhood all along, and after Alex puts Echo in the spaceship and tearfully says goodbye, the spaceship rebuilds itself by pulling each piece up out of the ground and blasts off into the sky. No one other than the four kids are around to see it (except Munch's mother, who no ones believes) and think the holes appear because of a short earthquake that was really caused by the ship taking off. The government officials leave (having been wrong about what they believed what would happened) with no harm done to the children. The kids' parents discover that they were out all night and they end up in serious trouble. However, while they saved their neighborhood, Alex and Munch still end up having to move while Tuck is able to stay but says it isn't the same. Despite this, the group realizes that real best friends remain so despite whatever distance they are to each other and remain friends for life. The movie ends with the four friends meeting again on a camping trip and getting a signal from Echo's home planet.

Plot :
Five years after the Viking village of Berk has made peace with the dragons, dragons now live amongst the villagers as working animals and companions, and even take part in racing sports. Hiccup goes on adventures with his dragon, Toothless, as they discover and map unexplored lands and territories. Having come of age, he is being pressed by his father, Stoick the Vast, to succeed him as chieftain, although Hiccup remains unsure if he is ready for this responsibility. While investigating a wildfire, Hiccup and Astrid discover the remains of a fort encased in a colossal blue ice formation and encounter a dragon trapper named Eret, who blames them for the destruction of his fort and attempts to capture their dragons for an insane conqueror called Drago Bludvist. The two riders return to Berk to warn Stoick about the dragon army that Drago is amassing, and Stoick orders the villagers to fortify the island and prepare for battle. Stoick explains that he once met Drago at a gathering of chiefs and found him to be an unreasonable madman, but Hiccup refuses to believe that war is inevitable. After Stoick interrupts their plan to get Eret to take them to his master, Hiccup flies off with Toothless in search of Drago, to try and reason with him. They are captured by a dragon rider named Valka, who is revealed to be Hiccup's long lost mother. She explains that she, like her son, was unable to kill dragons, and so, after being carried off during a dragon raid, spent twenty years rescuing dragons from Drago's traps and bringing them to an island haven created out of ice by a colossal Alpha dragon called a Bewilderbeast, to whom all dragons answer. Stoick tracks Hiccup to the island where he discovers that his wife is still alive. Simultaneously, Astrid and the other riders kidnap Eret to find Drago, but they are also captured and Drago learns of Berk's dragons. Drago and his army lay siege to Valka's sanctuary, where he reveals that he has his own Bewilderbeast to challenge the Alpha. A titanic battle ensues between the two Bewilderbeasts in a fight for control over all dragons on the island. Drago's Bewilderbeast emerges victorious by killing the Alpha and seizes control of all the dragons, including Toothless, using a strange form of dragon hypnotism attributed only to the Alpha. Hiccup tries to persuade Drago to end the violence, but Drago orders him killed as well. Toothless, under the influence of the new Alpha, approaches Hiccup and fires a plasma blast. At the last instant, Stoick pushes Hiccup out of the way, and is hit instead, killing him instantly. Hiccup angrily drives Toothless away when he approaches Stoick's body after the Alpha relinquishes control over him. Drago leaves Hiccup to his fate and, riding Toothless, again under the control of the Alpha, leads his now larger army to destroy Berk. Stoick is given a Viking funeral and Hiccup, now filled with grief and regret at the loss of his father and his dragon, doesn't know what to do anymore. Trying to encourage him, Valka tells him that he has a heart of a chief and a soul of a dragon. Inspired by her words, Hiccup decides that he will fly back to Berk to defend his people and live up to his father's legacy. The dragon riders and Eret ride baby dragons, which are immune to the Alpha's control, and arrive at Berk after the Alpha had already attacked the village and taken control of the dragons there. Hiccup confronts Drago and a brainwashed Toothless while the other riders work to distract the Bewilderbeast. Drago again orders the Alpha to make Toothless kill Hiccup, but Hiccup succeeds in disenchanting Toothless. Drago then orders the Alpha to shoot the pair, and the Bewilderbeast successfully encases them in a large blast of ice, seemingly killing them. His victory is short-lived, as Toothless, now glowing with plasma, blasts away the ice, revealing that both he and Hiccup are unharmed. Toothless challenges the Alpha and repeatedly fires plasma blasts at the Bewilderbeast. This frees the other dragons from the Bewilderbeast's control and all fire at it, severely injuring the colossal dragon until Toothless fires a final massive blast, breaking its left tusk.
Defeated, Drago and his Bewilderbeast retreat into the ocean as the Vikings celebrate their victory. All the dragons now acknowledge Toothless as the new Alpha dragon, and Hiccup is made chief of Berk by the village elder. The film ends with Berk being rebuilt with a statue of Stoick erected in his honor, and Hiccup doing his duties as chief, proudly declaring that while others may have armies and armadas, Berk has its own dragons.
